How to remove mod_passenger ? Print

Introduction

There are instances in which you won't want mod_passenger installed.  For example, if you're going to use mod_userdir.

Procedure

Passenger can be removed through WHM >> Home >> Software >> EasyApache 4 >> Ruby via Passenger ( remove here, continue the process).

Or you can remove it via the command line with the following command:

yum erase ea-ruby24-mod_passenger

Passenger is required for NGINX reverse proxy. This will also disable a part of the Ruby Application Manager, so please check with a Systems Administrator if you are uncertain what impact removing mod_passenger will have on your server.
