Introduction
ConfigServer Firewall is a third-party firewall software. As this is the case, its packages and functionality are not managed by the cPanel Software. If you find that there are issues with the ConfigServer Firewall, or it hinders the cPanel Software by any means, then we may ask that you disable it for troubleshooting purposes.
Procedure
To Disable CSF
via command-line
Log into your server via SSH as the root user, then run the following command:
# csf -x
via WHM
- Log into WHM
- Navigate to ConfigServer Security & Firewall
- Click "Firewall Disable"
To Enable CSF
via command-line
Log into your server via SSH as the root user, then run the following command:
# csf -e
via WHM
- Log into WHM
- Navigate to ConfigServer Security & Firewall
- Click "Firewall Enable"
